After an attempt to create the pattern from physical nature, going around collecting all sorts of leaves and petals, it all became a bit of a mess. After photographing my findings all muddled together, it was obvious that the patterns they were creating just weren't interesting enough. To be quite honest, Leeds doesn't have many exotic looking plants etc so creating a nice pattern from them became a bit of a task. The leaves just looked like leaves, it was all a bit rubbish.
Collage seemed the next best thing. Magazines were scoured for some nice images of flowers, plants and patterns within nature. Once a collection of these had been made, they were placed carefully to create new and unique patterns for each letter. This was quite time consuming but it led to a really nice outcome when all put together.
