After some research into ransom notes, it became quite apparent that their style was almost quite amateur. Of course some can be done very artistically and evidently take a lot of time, but it is something that can be done by anyone, and it has almost become a bit of a gimmick nowadays.
The style and method is something, however, that has proven quite useful inspiration.
Collage and cut-out in the style created above takes on this whole idea of 'ransom notes' whilst putting it into a completely different form.
Cut out body parts etc allows for more of an up-to-date and 'silly' version of an almost stylish female cat burglar. This will be repeated over and over to create a pattern that can be used for the inside of the envelope. The finished product doesn't want to be too intense, or too serious, so little things like this will put a twist on something that is actually quite a worrying subject to many.
