PHOTOSHOP WORKSHOP 1

LEVELS

*adjustment layer, levels*
This is a non-destructive way of adjusting brightness, contrast and tonal range within an image

MAGIC WAND TOOL

before and after

Here, the magic wand tool was used in order to select only the statue. From this, I could then non-destructively alter the levels of the statue to make it visible.

SAVING FOR THE INTERNET

Here, we had to make these 6 images ready to be posted onto the BBC website. They always use a set width
*resolution 72, width 500, height 503*
Saved as an appropriate file format for the internet (JPEG)
These stages were recorded using 'actions' in order to make a droplet on our desktop where each image could be 'dropped' in and photoshop would automatically change each image to the desired requirements above.
