Screen printing was a great way of building up a range of products for this brief, whilst allowing me to have a go at some different print processes. I had never screen printed before in the university so everything I did was pretty new to me. Over a few days, our screens were washed, prepared and dried, then our images were exposed onto the screens.
I wanted to produce something that was quite simple, and also gender neutral, whilst reflecting the overall visuals of my project. I decided to simply have a go at screen printing a few of the most relative visuals of my project onto some tote bags - the T.B logo and the Sea of Shoes logo.
Bags pinned down and print out used in order to position the image correctly.
Exposed screen.
One of the chosen colours that was used to screen print with, along with black. Both colours were used in order to make my products appeal to both the male and female audience.
Blocking off the rest of the screen so that only the image I wanted was printed.
A selection of some of my printed bags, which I was overall very happy with. Unfortunately on the black logo, there were a few smudges due to not quite blocking off the image properly, but this is something I will take into consideration next time.
